  • On May 15th, our athletes competed at the District 5 Track and Field Championship meet at Northern Bedford.  Many athletes took medals and represented us well.  Jordan Synowietz was the discus champion and brought home gold.  Tristin Ohler won the 100 m and 200 meter dashes.  In doing so, he broke his own school records in both events with a time of 10.89 seconds in the 100 and 22.04 in the 200.  Both gentlemen will represent us at the State Championship Meet in Shippensburg

  • The Meyersdale track and field teams had a very successful night at the ICC Conference Championship in Northern Bedford last night.

On the girls' side, Aurora Comfort was the 3200 m run ICC champion.

In their first year in the ICC Conference, the boys won their first team championship against a field of 13 teams.  We had many event champions and earned many awards.

Branson Hersch won the 300 m hurdles.

The 4x100 m relay team of Nolan Easton, Dylan Hay, Levi Hersch and Tristin Ohler were crowned champions.  The same gentlemen were victorious in the 4x400 m relay as well, and broke their previous school record with a time of 3:31.06.

Ian Brenneman won the high jump and tied the school record with a leap of 6'2".

Bryson Hetz won the javelin, completing the conference season undefeated.  He was voted the outstanding thrower of the meet.

Tristin Ohler also won the 100 m and 200 m dashes.  His mark of 10.9 seconds tied his own school record and set a new meet record.  His 200 time of 22.37 seconds was also a new ICC meet record.  He earned the outstanding runner of the meet award.

We had many other place winners that played a key role in our win.  Our gentlemen did a fantastic job of representing our school.  Great job guys!
