*** During our time away from school....high school students can continue to access their online classes using Moodle if they would like to complete work relating to their classes.
Middle School Students:  We were pretty much finished with the third quarter, so I don´t have class materials to give you. However, many of you enjoyed the break out boxes...so I am going to provide you with some you can do online while you are home!  Enjoy!!!
DIGITAL ESCAPE ROOM:  You can access the digital escape room by clicking on the link below!!  Good luck solving the clues and finding your way out!  If you and your family escape, send me an email/screenshot so that I can congratulate you!!
My name is Angel Floyd, and I am one of the Library Media Specialists at Meyersdale Area School District.  I graduated in 1999 from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown with a BA in Secondary Education-English.  Then, I spent five years teaching high school English in New Jersey before returning to Pennsylvania in 2005.  I opened my own daycare center at that time and  continued to operate the facility until 2012.  In January of 2007, however, I started working at Meyersdale Middle School as an English teacher.  I received my master's degree in 21st Century Teaching and Learning before becoming certified as a K-12 Library Media Specialist.  I now work in the Media Center full-time, and I love it!  I spend a great deal of my day helping students with online learning, assisting teachers with computer applications, and managing resources for the library.   It's a great job, and although I miss the classroom sometimes, I am still able to interact with students regularly!
  • Colleagues, Don't Forget!!   If you want to learn how to update your school website, you should come to our Schoolwires session, which will be held on Thursday, September 25th.
