Blooms of Hope Sale begins
Once again, the Meyersdale High School chapter of National Honor Society will be selling daffodils for the annual Blooms of Hope initiative. Students will be selling bunches of daffodils and potted daffodils during the Blooms of Hope Sale, in partnership with Somerset Trust Company. The daffodil is a symbol of hope and renewal, a true wish for all those touched by cancer. This annual fundraiser raises money for local cancer patients and directly benefits the Somerset Oncology Center and Somerset Hospice. Now in its fourth year, Blooms of Hope will kick-off the first week of February and flowers will be delivered March 17. According to NHS advisor, Jessica Deakins, efforts by MAHS National Honor Society generate more than $2,000 in sales each year. Meyersdale NHS students have been selling daffodils for many years and have raised more than $18,000 since its inception, first known as Daffodil Days and now as Blooms of Hope. Your support is deeply appreciated for this very worthy cause.
