MEYERSDALE - Meyersdale Area High School students will present “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” on Thursday, Nov. 21st and Friday, 22nd at 7 p.m. and on Saturday, Nov. 23rd at 2 p.m. in the high school auditorium. This is one of the world’s most beloved family friendly musicals. Andrew Lloyd Webber wrote the music and Tim Rice wrote the lyrics. This musical is based on the coat of many colors story of Joseph from the Bible Book of Genesis.

Told almost entirely through song with the help of the Narrator the show follows the story of Jacob’s favorite son Joseph and his eleven brothers. After being sold into slavery by the brothers, he earns favor with the Egyptian nobel Potipher but ends up in jail after refusing advances of Potiphar’s wife. While imprisoned, Joseph discovers his ability to interpret dreams, and he soon finds himself in front of the mighty but troubled showman, the Pharaoh.
