Celebrating the Class of 2020

On June 6, 2020, the Meyersdale Area High School Class of 2020 closed their school careers with a traditional commencement service after a most unconventional end of school year. Sixty-nine students received their diplomas in front of friends and family at the Meyersdale Red Raider Football Stadium. Organizers worked diligently to coordinate and present a traditional ceremony while adhering to ever-changing pandemic guidelines, while providing students with the “pomp and circumstance” they so richly deserved. Following the ceremony, students were received and greeted by faculty from kindergarten through twelfth grade before embarking on a parade throughout the community. The parade was led by emergency personnel from the Meyersdale Borough, Meyersdale Ambulance and volunteers from the Meyersdale, Garrett and Wellersburg volunteer fire departments. As a special treat, Stewart's Transportation provided buses allowing students one last special ride!
