Middle School Remarkable Raiders

Faculty and staff at Meyersdale Area Middle and High Schools have begun naming Remarkable Raiders for grades six through 12 based on the merits of Academic Performance, Character, Behavior, Effort, Good Citizenship and Attendance. Remarkable Raiders will be recognized at the monthly  meetings of the Meyersdale School Board. 


The following Meyersdale Middle School students have been named Remarkable Raiders for the Month of October: Kylee Haer, Kylah Adriance and Gavan Steinberg.


Steinberg is a sixth grade student. He and his family moved to MASD six years ago after living in Ohio, Michigan, Florida and Maryland.  His favorite hobbies are playing football, baseball and basketball. His favorite subject is Social Studies. 


Haer is a seventh grade student and is the daughter of Crystal and Bill Haer, of Meyersdale. She is a member of the Junior High basketball team and outside of school, Haer enjoys dancing, shooting hoops and spending time with friends. She said she likes everyone of her teachers this year and is glad to be back in school!


Adriance is an eighth grade student and is the daughter of April Adriance. In school, she is involved in Chorus, and Concert and Marching Band. Her hobbies include drawing , reading and playing the flute. She is enjoying being back to school and in 8th grade and likes having more freedom and being more independent.
