Class of 1966 wins Alumni Challenge

MEYERSDALE - The Class of 1966 won the third annual Meyersdale Area Education Foundation (MAEF) sponsored Alumni Challenge!   Each graduate from any class ending with a 1 or a 6, who celebrated their reunion, was asked to support the MAEF by donating money on behalf of their class.  The total amount raised through the challenge was $1,260 and the Class of 1966 donated $626. The Class of 1966 will be added to the Alumni Challenge plaque located in the administration office at MASD.

While the Class of 1966 may have won the competition, all MASD students are the winners! Funds raised through this program benefit students in grades kindergarten through twelfth grade. Each year the goal of the Education Foundation is to raise money to purchase items for the students at Meyersdale Area School District. Items that they would not normally have access to or get to experience.  Due to the generosity of local business, through the EITC program, and general donations from others, our students now have access to: a professional grade flight simulator, two 3D printers, specialized equipment, augmentative communication devices, unique and educational programming and much more.
