Middle School December Remarkable Raiders

The Meyersdale Area School District Remarkable Raider program will recognize its December honorees during the February 7th school board meeting.  Students in grades six through 12 were selected based on the merits of Academic Performance, Character, Behavior, Effort, Good Citizenship and Attendance. 

 

The following Meyersdale Middle School students were named Remarkable Raiders for the Month of December: Jaxon Hetz, Tea Carlyle and Sage Clapper. 

 

Jaxon Hetz, sixth grade, is the son of Rebecca and Mike Hetz. He is a member of the Chorus and Ski Club. He said he has really enjoyed learning how to snowboard this year. He is also a member of the 5th and 6th grade basketball team, Sap City Athletics. His favorite classes are Math and Social Studies, where he enjoys learning about our government and Ancient Egypt. Following high school, Jaxon plans to further his education and become a veterinarian because he loves animals and would like to help them if they are in pain or are sick.

 

Tea Carlyle, seventh grade, is the daughter of Christine and Mike Carlyle. She is a member of the Lady Raider Volleyball team and is a member of the Red Raider Marching Band, Concert Band and Chorus. Her hobbies include drawing, listening to music and playing volleyball. Her favorite classes are English and Music. Tea plans to attend college and play volleyball at a collegiate level. 

 

Sage Clapper, eighth grade, is the daughter of Andrea Blough and Jude Clapper.  Sage is a member of the Band and Chorus.
