MAHS December Remarkable Raiders

The Meyersdale Area School District Remarkable Raider program will recognize its December honorees during the February 7th school board meeting.  Students in grades six through 12 were selected based on the merits of Academic Performance, Character, Behavior, Effort, Good Citizenship and Attendance. 


The following Meyersdale High School students were named Remarkable Raiders for the Month of December: Colton Shuck, Olivia Knopsnyder, Isabella Eberly and Anna Stewart. 


Colton, ninth grade, is the son of Tonya and Dale Shuck. His favorite class is Tech Ed and he is a member of the Tech Ed Club. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing and riding his dirt bike. After high school, Colton plans to become a mechanic. 


Olivia Knopsnyder, tenth grade, is the daughter of Jeff Knopsnyder and Terra Knopsnyder. She is a member of the Lady Raider Volleyball Team, Home Ec Club, FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) and Raider Review. Her favorite class is History. After graduation, Olivia plans to attend college. 


Isabella Eberly, a junior, is the daughter of Jarrett and Melanie Eberly. She is a Safe School Ambassador at MAHS and is enrolled in the Cosmetology program at Somerset County Tech Center. Her hobbies include art, hunting and fishing. Her favorite classes are Physics, Chemistry and History. After graduation, Isabella plans to pursue a career in Cosmetology and Esthetics as well as opening her own business.


Anna Stewart, a senior, is the daughter of Lisa and Mike Stewart. She is a statistician for the Lady Raider Volleyball team and is the Raider Review Opinions editor. Her hobbies include reading, writing and painting. Her favorite class is English, and she plans to attend Allegany College of Maryland following graduation.
